I feel terrible, given the steadily increasing number of subscribers to this site, that I have not been keeping up with my side of the bargain - and my own fervent desire - by posting more blogs.  Here’s what’s been going on:

I picture the executive brain function as Eve Harrington in “All About Eve,” seemingly the sweet understudy, all the while scheming to become the star. 

The body is a microcosm of the larger, cosmic process of life and death.  How do we move along that spectrum, how do we deal with the changes, how do we stay in touch with Actual Reality? Granted, I’m an oddball, but still, maybe my experience will have meaning for you.

I’m not just dying, I’m living.  Living and dying at the same time. And finding the balance between living and dying is as hard – or harder – than finding the balance between work and family, self-interest and the interest of something larger than oneself, protein and carbs.
